Yes, we’re Talking French Antwerp fashion brand Talking French has been in existence for 10 years now. Although firmly anchored in the Belgian fashion landscape, in-depth consumer research suggested that it was desirable to modify the brand positioning and identity. This decision was given added impetus by the company´s wish to focus more intensively on the international market. Talking French asked Duval Branding to assist them in this transition. After a thorough intake and strategic workshop, the understanding grew that Talking French was a solid fashion reference for independent, active and self-confident women. Over the years the name recognition had always remained high, but this substantive focus had been somewhat neglected, reducing customer penetration. The new brand positioning, which is expressed in the campaign line ´Here I am´, must once again appeal to these women with personality. The visual style that was developed on the basis of this insight will enable the brand to operate within this new dynamic. “Instead of going for a soft evolution of the brand style, we intentionally opted for a trend-break, a renewed statement of a brand with roots and a bright future,” says Marc Wellens, Managing Director of Duval Branding.
