Yesterday, Day +8: A little late I know. Well Alfie had a lovely visit from Grandad, and despite spiking a temperature, they had a lovely afternoon together. Meanwhile I headed back to Alfie and Ellas school to see how the DBA fundraiser was going. A small army of friends pulled this together in a very short time, and the response blew me away. An exercise bike was spinning from 08:30-3:30 thanks to willing parents and teachers, and there were cakes, collection buckets, DBA bits and bobs, banners, leaflets... the lot. And thanks to all the amazing, generous people at High Down the event raised an incredible £733.78 for DBA UK! A wonderful, supportive school with a fantastic community of children and parents, we are very lucky. Massive thanks to our friends who made it happen and all those who contributed by giving their time, money, cakes and sweat all for DBA. xxxxx
