Yesterday I allowed someone to have more control over my day/emotions than I should have. In those moments, I forgot that no one can make you feel anyway, unless you give them the control to do so. I am in charge of my feelings, what I accept as valid opinions and who I allow to have ANY place in my life. Sometimes I think we need those "slip ups" to be reminded of why we have placed people and situations in the past and just how beautiful life can be without them. Negativity in life is a choice, one we can make daily. I may no longer have control of my past circumstances or the people I allowed to be a control factor in my life, but today and the tomorrows to come I do.
