Yesterday, I became one of 100,000+ visitors so far to see the wonderful Costumes of Downton Abbey exhibit at Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library. I loved it. The costumes are so much more detailed and beautiful in life than in photos or on television. They were on forms that were molded identically to the bodies of the actors and actresses who wore the costumes. Of course, EVERYone was commenting on how rail thin and childlike the actors and actresses are. Most surprising in their extreme diminutiveness were Lady Mary and Matthew. I didnt take many photos - sorry - but here are three of my favorites. The photos just dont do them justice.
