This is NEBRASKAS TEAM JACK! You may have seen him a few times in the last 2 yrs. The Nebraska Football program, Coach Bo Pelini & Rex Berkhead ( now plays for the Cinn. Bengals) along with Jacks parents started out a small organization called TEAM Jack to help them raise $$$ for Childhood Brain Cancer. They were just hoping to make a small dent in Nebraska UNTIL JACK & REX became friends. Rex was in his Junior year, I believe, & wanted to sort of befriend Jack & keep an eye on him through out the year. Rex would invite Jack & his family to home football games then some one in the family came up with TEAM JACK T shirts, well those FLEW off the shelves, I think they finally have caught up. They also have TEAM JACK wrist bands too that every one , INCLUDING the whole NE. fball team. Every once in a while you will see a t shirt in the deepest parts of the south, on the east coast, west coast & even up as far north as Aslaska. You may have seen him during the Nebraska spring football game , it has been all over TV from that because again we have a GREAT HEAD FOOTBALL Coach Bo Pelini that let him take part in that game & Made a TOUCHDOWN for HIS FAVORITE COLLEGE Fball team, then he went on & met & got to shake the hand of the PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA (I know a lot of you think that is NO big deal , BUT when you are a 9 yr. old boy in 4 th grade & you could die tomorrow, THAT IS A BIG DEAL!!!). If you havent heard of him by now you really are stuck under a rock someplace!!!!! The latest was when he was honored at the ESPY Awards this year!!! It was some sort of special award that I can not remember the name of right now....... I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW HIS LATEST & GREATEST THING THAT WAS ANNOUNCED A FEW WEEKS AGO!!!!.............................. JACK is IN REMISSION!!!!!!! I AM SO VERY HAPPY FOR HIS FAMILY!!!!! I HAVE PRAYED FOR HIM MANY TIMES & cried for him while thinking of my 5 PRECIOS & LUCKY GRAND CHILDREN!!!!! I think he came down with this cancer crap about the same time my sister came down with hers, & she didnt last very long, Im almost sure this is why this little boy & his illness hit me. I just want to let some one know that it can be beaten & I know this is just remission but every day he makes it is just one day closer to him being FREE of it!!! THERE WILL BE A CURE FOR IT!!! Have a LONG & HAPPY LIFE JACK!!!
