I am very pleased with the Presidents signing of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (H.R. 803). The bipartisan bill, updates the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 and covers job training programs - with emphasis on manufacturing. With manufacturing picking up again in the US, this is very good news. The bill’s provisions, eliminate outdated programs; provide accountability requirements; require implementation of industry partnerships and career pathway strategies. So, how well will these perspective employees be team trained and will their managers be team leadership trained?
