Yesterday I had the great honor and pleasure of being a part of the group that escorted Michigan Military Memorial Wall to Tawas. I have visited this wall on several occations but this was the first time that I was able to be part of the escort. Even though I dont have a military background this is still an emotional experience ! Along with the names of hundreds of fallen Michigan service men and women was the name of my very good friend, Pvt Ruffus N. Stevenson Jr. It gave me chills to see the many cars stopping on the side of the road to give their respect for these fallen heros as we road by and to the many people who stood and waved their American Flags in front of business and homes. If you have not visited the Wall I urge all of you to do so. Even if you are lucky enough not to have a family member or friend list on this wall I am sure that you know someone who does or someone whos name could of very easily been on it. If you love this Country and our freedoms.......THANK A VET !
