Yesterday, I learned of the untimely passing of a wonderful friend, Richard Gallagher. Ritchie, who headed the volunteer security force, and I became fast friends after an unfortunate incident which occurred several months ago. He was a driving force in encouraging me to do the right thing. He was my cheerleader, my strength, my friend. Every day he was on duty, he stopped by my home to make sure that I was okay, give me the proverbial pep talk, and then tell me a funny story to make me laugh. He told me to hang in because the truth always prevails. I will be eternally grateful for his belief in me and know he will continue to keep a watchful eye over me. Rest in peace my friend, and thank you for getting it. You will be missed.
