Yesterday, I met few CFP Aspirants, who have already joined, with one of Education provider in Mumbai... As per their feedback, they already paid 40k based on Name & infrastructure, but when they joined they found that 30+ aspirants in class and quality of faculty is poor... The study/work book provided just copy paste material and having many mistakes as well not as per 2014 format. The faculty focuses on the theory/products during training instead of teaching the advanced Goal based financial planning calculations. They have already completed 3 modules, but when I asked them to do my Retirement/Insurance planning... they failed... Now they have requested to suggest the way forward to complete the CFP. So, As a CFP Aspirant, Pls understand that Name/Infrastructure is only Hardware & Your Quality faculty/Advance question banks/Solutions is the Software...If you do not get the quality software for sure no benefit of hardware...Today, i found that most institute/EP has do Hugh expenses on marketing & offices & thats one major reason they try to reduce their cost on faculty...they will hire visiting faculty who charges less...then for sure Aspirants have ends with half baked knowledge & skills sets & even you complete your CFP then you will not get the fullest benefits of certification and later on criticize certification.
