Yesterday I met up with a good friend for Breakfast. We talked about our life faith journeies and it was just awesome. We talked about how interesting it is we are of the same faith and yet there are so many different views. We talked about the theology and the nature of sin and how does that play out when it comes to grace and mercy. We talked about the differing views of Fundamentalisms interpretation of the Bible vs. a more progressive stance. In the end no matter what our views I believe in my heart we are called to love all and to be inclusionary. So I have a hymn to share with you. Here is a small fact for you in Contemporary Christian music: There are songs and there are hymns.... song writers could be writing anything about their expression of faith.... Hymn writers write to make sure there is carefully placed theology written in the words.
