Yesterday I parted with my groovy German girlfriend of four years. We shared many memories, traveling many miles, escorting many passengers and exploring new terrains. She was a piece of work, as most German girlfriends must be, but I took pleasure in caring for her. Every bloody metric bolt I tightened, every piece of German writing I had to decipher, it was all for the best. You will be missed by many, my love. Germany 1978 - California 2014
