Yesterday, I posted a devotion dealing with proximity. That is the closeness that we have with our Heavenly Father. Today I want to pique your interest in obstacles to that closeness. Our faith is founded in the Word of God. Romans 10:17 says, Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, therefore an obstacle that gets missed often is the lack of Gods Word that we get. Our spiritual bodies look like refugees who havent eaten in days and weeks because we starve our spiritual man primarily by neglect. I know that no one rises in the morning and says to themselves, self, lets not read the Word today and lets not give God His rightful time and honor! No we get up with every good intention to do EVERYTHING that we are supposed to. But time, circumstance, and people steal our plan and ultimately steal our food. They do it right under our noses and we think it is admorable, because we are NOT slackers. We are busy so it must be ok. But Gods Word says, not to be weary in well doing.....sooo as you draw nigh to God, fee that spirit man. Get him some strength and keep feeding him. I love you. Pastor
