Yesterday I read a survey which shows that most republicans consider President Obama as the worst President of the United States for the last 50 years. Today The Dow Jones Industrial Average reaches the 17.000 mark for the first time and unemployment is lower than 7%. The economy creates more than half a million jobs during the month of June. That is not too bad for this socialist President. I am sure the top 1% are counting their blessings .Even people in the middle class are doing a lot better with their 401 k , IRA than 8 years ago. Unless someone is blinded by hatred and racism he or she must admit that Americans are better off now than 8 years ago. What would be the state of economy if the republicans in Congress were not a bunch of obstructionists.? Yesterday I received a letter form President Bill Clinton in which he mentioned different reasons why democrats should prepare themselves to get out and vote in 2014 ;He wrote :A Republican Senate could stop our efforts to raise the minimum wage, secure equal pay for women, protect Americans right to vote, and reform our broken immigration system. He underlined It could even vote down every single one of President Obama s judicial nominees-including nominees to the Supreme Court . Considering the consequences of having a Supreme Court composed only of Justices like Scalia and Thomas ,democrats better understand the importance of the coming election. President Clinton finished his letter with the following advice to all democrats P.S. Democrats have made enormous progress and impacted change over the last six years, but if we let Republicans take the Senate in 2014 without our best fight ,all of our progress could be erased. This is true. I will send him a contribution ,but I will tell him to let Haitians also choose the people they want to represent them and to stop support the corrupt regime of Martelly/ Lamothe . We want the same things he wants for his country.
