Yesterday, I received a call from Landons mom that Landon had been choked by another student in his class. The other student literally wrapped both of his hands around Landons throat because Landon (and I quote what she was told by the teacher) was yelling close to the child about what day it was and that Landon gets excited easily so theyll have to look into it further Neither her nor I were contacted about this, but the other parents were. Initially, I didnt know what to think or how to react. I lost a lot of sleep last night due to thinking about this and the fact that it was written off that a 4 year old knows to wrap his hands around the throat of another person in anger. My protective nature wants to go to his school and figure out which teacher I need to scream at until Im red in the face, and the other side of me is still trying to wrap my head around this and figure out a better solution to a problem that seems to be reoccurring with this young boy and my son as this is not the first situation they have had. Being sensible and patient is not always easy.
