Yesterday I received the My new Heavy Duty 5hp dust/chip collector, delivered by UPS. Backs into driver way about five feet from my shop door. When the driver opens up the back of his truck I see the box that looked like it had spent time in a war zone and not enough setting flat on its bottom. I comment to the driver about it. His comment, oh thats nothing Ive seen worse. As he starts to wrestle the box I notice that it has yellow and black tape several places across the top, HEAVY PACKAGE OVER 70LBS.( Two man lift maybe, DUH!) I offer to help.( Driver) I got it! and starts pushing it out. Now, out of one of these holes is sticking out two metal supports and guess what? As the driver pushes it against the corner of the truck door and bends one of the supports over 90 degrees. I yell Stop!, and point to the support.(Driver) sorry,just bend it back when you open the box, maybe you should help me get it out.(DUH!) As I help him get it out of the truck I comment that I was really having second thoughts about excepting the package the way it looked. As he steps down out of the truck and grabs the other end of the box and pushes against it enough to get me inside the shop and we set it down of the floor. I comment again that I am really concerned about the shape the box is in.(Driver) Sir, you have to sign for the package because its inside your shop now, Besides if there is any more damage when you open it just call customer service. Against my better judgment I sign his hand held. This morning I opened the box and find the following.
