Yesterday I sat beside a car at the grocery store for 20 min. Heat index was well over 100. The owner left the truck running with A/C on, his/her dog sitting in the front seat staring at the door..... waiting. The dog was not in any distress but let me tell you that the LAST TIME I DID THAT, MY DOG ALMOST DIED. I WAS GONE NO MORE THAN 10 MINUTES PICKING UP A PRESCRIPTION, LEFT THE A/C ON WITH THE CAR RUNNING. WHEN I GOT BACK THE A/C WAS NOT WORKING.....BLOWING HOT AIR!!!! My dog was hot and panting but thank you God, alive. PLEASE,,,,,,,,PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. YOU COULD VERY WELL COME BACK TO A DEAD DOG. The owner never returned after about 20 minutes so I left before my groceries melted. I prayed all the way home for that poor animal and the person who would take that risk. Next time he may not be so lucky!
