Yesterday I shared my personal recommendation for Sid Miller. I remind you, no candidate is perfect. My what follows is my personal judgment about which candidate is best for Texas. I met another candidate during my many travels around the state that impressed me deeply. He was the kind of candidate that would show up early, and go home late. He quickly impressed me not only with his command of the issues that would affect his office, but his conservative vision and priorities. I met a lot of candidates during my 8 months criss-crossing Texas. Some of them, frankly, were a little elite. They were much too busy or too important for little folks like me. But not this guy. He always had time to visit. He treated me like a friend and colleague, and I watched as he approached each voter with humility - desiring to earn their vote. Everywhere he spoke, he educated folks on just how vital it is that the Texas Railroad Commission be a champion for oil and gas development in Texas. He opened my eyes to the various threats to the industry posed by the Obama Administration. He clearly articulated a conservative vision for this vital office. My choice for Railroad Commissioner: Wayne Christian.
