Yesterday I went to the Smarter Balance/Common Core Assembly. Short Summary: If you request to opt-out you wont get a response because opting-out doesnt exist, but if you simply skip the test there will be NO consequences, absolutely zero, (no marked absence as long as you show up to your classes, no make up tests to take, etc) due to the law being weird and unprepared for all this new testing stuff.
