Yesterday Patrick and I had to make the hardest decision of our lives. No parent should ever have to make this decision for their child ever. Please know that we have not given up hope, but that our hope just lies elsewhere than here on earth. At this point we have been left with little to no options, and feel the options we do have would be more damaging and painful for Maddie than they are worth. We have been so very blessed for Maddie to go through all if this and still have a "normal" life, and we want to give her as much time as possible to continue to flourish and live it and not be stuck in a hospital or sick from treatments that do not work for her. So with that being said we will be interviewing hospice care groups this week. Our hearts our completely broken, for my sweet baby girl, for her little brother and for each other. Please keep us in your thoughts, prayers, whatevers. We are going to need a lot to get through this.
