Yesterday, a patient told me that she sat on a chair for three days in Accident & Emergency before she was warded, because all the beds were occupied on the ward. I could not help but notice the tears in her eyes and the hurt in her voice as she relayed her ordeal. I met another woman standing in the corridor waiting for assistance; she was standing for hours because there was nowhere to sit in the crammed room of patients. She was a known hypoglycemic patient. The health care system in T&T needs a lot of improvement. My prayer today goes out to all the patients of T&T at the various hospitals, and to family members and friends who have to bear the pain of watching their loved ones suffer as a result of the poor state of our health care system. God is good! He is the GREAT Physician. None of your tears and fears go unnoticed. Trust Him today for healing and restoration. :D
