Yesterday afternoon was the opening ceremony for the 2014 Little League West Regional Tournament. The festivities began with a parade and continued to Fleischer Park for a presentation of each team and the state they represent. I welcomed the players and their parents to our city and wished them the best of luck. I also threw out the ceremonial first pitch while Vice-Mayor Hanessian served as catcher. I invite you all to go watch the games. The games start today at 2:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. and continue with the same schedule until July 23rd. Go support our local team and cheer for our guests too. Ill see you there!
