Yesterday afternoon we held our Old English Sheepdog Get Together and Picnic in the Park. It was held in bright sunshine at Kingsbury Water Park, near Birmingham, UK. We had about 40 people turn up with about 30 dogs, some that werent OES, but we made them honorary OES for the afternoon. It was lovely to see so many OES together, and the owners enjoyed getting hints and tips on grooming etc. We also had a raffle which raised £70 for the Didim Animal Shelter in Turkey. To round off the afternoon we had a lovely picnic, with many bringing cakes, savouries and drinks for everyone to enjoy. Thanks so much to everyone who helped make the day so special, myself and Val Blake spent a long time organising the event, and it was great to see it all come together. Attached is a picture of some of the owners and dogs, unfortunately some had to leave early as they had other things to go on to. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon, so much so they want us to make it an annual event !!!
