Yesterday around noon we got a knock on the door that our Katie Bell was loose and running the neighborhood. Katie Bell is our wonderful basset hound with extra long ears, extra wide feet, who rides low low to the ground! She is our sweetie and our peace keeper between the two pit bulls we have. She always wants everyone to just be happy and love each other! Anyway, Tray and I went in to action combing the neighborhood looking for her. We walked all around and drove all around yelling her name. We put the word out to all the kids that she was loose, ours, and that she did not bite. Last night as the sun went down my heart was heavy because she had not been found. I just knew that I would find her splattered across the road when I pulled out to take Peytan to school this morning, but there was no sign of her. When I got home Tray opened the back door to let Abby out and he said, "BABY! KATIE BELL IS BACK! SHE IS IN THE BACKYARD!" We looked all over the yard to figure out how she got out and back in to no avail. Finally when Peytan got home from school she told us that early this morning she heard a dog howling in the front of the house that sounded like Katie so she went to the door and flipped the light on. There Katie Bell was standing at the front door looking up at her through the glass howling for someone to open the door!
