Yesterday as I was getting the smoker ready to use, I opened the firebox lid and one of the hinges had rusted and the lid got stuck halfway. I did what anyone would do and proceeded to beat on it with a hammer.... Finally I got it open and there was a five inch wide hornets nest stuck to the inside of the lid with about 30 hornets hanging of it. I cant believe I didnt get stung. They didnt swarm until after I ran inside but I was BEATING THE SHIT out of that lid for awhile before I saw them. Someone is watching out for me...I guess...
