Yesterday as I watched my daughter Busu awarded the wings to fly scholarship at the Kassarani gymnasium officiated by president Uhuru Kenyatta, totally covering her four program year program stay in Starehe girls secondary school,something explosive crossed my mind.I thought of our forgotten county,its terrible tribal leaders and how the bright,needy and the deserving pupils have been denied the chance to pursue their lifetime dream due to financial constraints.CDF which was initially ment for those who are born in disadvantaged family has now been turned into a peremend thing.The rich,politically correct and the well connected lots continue to plunge this CDF fund by educating their sons while the peasants continue to suffer and pay the ultimatum price of a shifting dreams.During my time,so bright but needy girls who qualified to be admitted to the best schools in the country like alliance girls,Kenya high and others never had that opportunity due to financial constraints.They all got admitted to moi girls mbt,moyale girls and leishamis ending up with their level best grades.As Busus name was called out her younger sister Summaya who is still in primary school couldnt understand why her siblings hard work is being celebrate and recognized,she asked me severally when will Ukur hold such an event to celebrated and offer this young and brilliant minds his helping hands?She cunningly wondered the whereabouts of our MPs from this event until I intervened and reminded her that this event was not local.Summayas humble appeals to Ukur,support the needy but bright pupils from this county,give them wings to fly high over their dreams.To MCAs and other leaders be just,honest and support the deserving pupils achieve their dreams.Be fair when awarding CDF bursaries,let politics not factor in but economical inabilities and other social factors play a role.Sumaya lovers her peers and she keeps praying for them on daily basis.She has one unstoppable dream of becoming a lawyer and fight for the rights of her friends.She is one amazing daughter that I am blessed with.As Busu heads to Starehe Girls,I hope equity,justice and equality will prevail when sharing the little resources that reaches us
