Yesterday as my friend and I were singing in the uni Chapel, we found a girl balling her eyes out in the corner...After feeling her tremble in my arms and cry, I sat and talked with her..She told me she felt like she had drifted away from God, and explained that she used to have such a good relationship with God, and she feels its gone and she doesnt know what to do with anything anymore...I told her how amazing she is that this is what shes crying about, how often do you find someone that passionate, and that gut wrenched over losing sight of God these days. Such a beautiful person, and so hurt...By the end of the conversation, she was smiling and laughing. Later on the same day, Siena Stone and I decided wed busk down on Queen Street. Just for the hell of it, muster up some confidence, do SOMETHING crazy, we thought...As we sung while passing strangers looked at us like damn they cray... A homeless man approached us and said man I just heard your voices and thought somebodys gotta tell them! You have beautiful voices! You need to do something with them...Dont just not do anything about it, theres a show happening around here you know? yeaaaah, nzs got talent, please do something about it Then this homeless man, looks at us and hands us $2...Doesnt seem like much at first but looking into where he grabbed his money from there was probably less than $5 in there..This was probably literally all he had...But he gave it to US, a couple of random girls with low confidence and a dream. Despite his poverty, he said I always try to PAY IT FORWARD I just wanted to cry because of how beautiful this person was being right now!!! ...I told him how friggen amazing he is to give us $2 despite his situation...I gave him his money back, and Sienna gave him some more money instead. We looked at him begin to cry...so sooooooo touching..He started to tell us a bit about himself and I wished we could change his situation.... At the end of the day I just thought about how many people out there are going through things...Big and small...How hurt the world is...The struggles people go through...big and small... Man I am so grateful for every experience I get to have like these ones...They bring so much light into my heart on cold days...
