Yesterday at the age of 97, my great grandmother passed away. Not many people are fortunate enough to be able to know their great grandparents. I was lucky enough to have 23 years with this strong, creative, passionate, and beautiful woman. I will always remember her singing and dancing with my sister and I; taking us swimming - even in her 70s she was still so full of life. Although we knew it was coming, it by no means lessens the loss. However, its comforting to know that her spirit will live on through our extensive family - as well as through her beautiful artwork. I cant wait until I have my own place to hang up her beautiful paintings. I love you Grannie Winnie, and Im glad that you finally found peace.
