Yesterday, i continued sharing on the Voice of God. The areas of our lives that must be open to the voice of God. Open Your Life To The Voice Of God There are many voices that speak to us. These include the voice of your friends, your family, your parents, your flesh, your own Spirit etc. However, the most important voice we need to pick out of all the voices and follow is the Voice Of God. Romans 8:14 If you follow the Voice of God, you will always be blessed but if you go contrary to the Voice of God, you will be cursed. Many people have made costly mistakes because they failed to open up their life to the Voice of God. There are some voices you need to open up your life to, one of which is the voice of your pastors. Proverbs 11:14 Areas of your life that you must open up to the Voice of God 1. Open up your life to the Voice of God for Gods Provision for your life. Genesis 26:1-2,12-13, Psalm 23:1 The fact that things are not working in Ghana does not mean you have to take a hasty decision to travel. E.g. God directed Elijah to places where He had made provision for him. 1 Kings 17:1-15 When God directs you somewhere and things begin to fail, He is capable to direct you to another place where things will work. 2. Let the voice of God guide you for your Marriage and your home. Psalm 23:2 Do not decide to marry someone because of the persons physical attributes. Marriage is such an important institution that can either make or break you so do not take the decision lightly. E.g. Joseph almost changed his mind about marrying Mary until God intervened. Matthew 1:18-25 If you dont allow the Voice of God to lead you in your marriage, you will make grave mistakes. 3. The Voice of God must guide you to select the right church to attend. Psalm 23:3 One of the most important decisions you must take is which church to attend. a. A church is your earthly spiritual home that is preparing you for eternity so you must get it right. Hebrews 13:17 b. A church is a place preparing you for your eternal home. 1 Timothy 3:15 c. Some churches are being led by false prophets so you must test the spirit of the church. d. God was not happy with a lot of the churches in the book of revelation and that is why you cannot attend just any church. 4. Depend on the Voice of God for your protection. The world is full of wicked people and wicked forces so we need God to protect us and lead us to the right place. E.g. A sister who was late to work one day, got to know that God made her over sleep because she would have had an accident if she had gone early. The most important prayer every believer should pray is Thy Will Be Done. We must be like David who constantly went to enquire of The Lord what he should do in every circumstance.
