Yesterday i.e. 24th November was really a fantastic day. After taking rest for half a day, I along with my trusted friend, who is more than a brother to me on the invitation of our colleagues like Chandar Singh Gusain and Jai Prakash Bisht , editor of Chunyaal went to Ampy Theater, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad where a function to commemorate the 14th anniversary of Uttarakhands foundation was organised with full pomp and show with popular musician Rajendra chouhan, his mesmerizing team of folk artists, his budding singer son Rohit and his singer wife, the Swar Kokila of Uttarakhand Kalpana Chouhan impress us all with her most sweet and melodious voice. While reaching the venue we were greeted in full enthusiasm & gusto by way of presentation of bouquets and garlands. I was also asked to address the huge gathering on the occasion. The state defence minister, Government of India General VK Singh inaugurated the show by lightening the lamp while Ramesh Chandra Pokhriyal Nishan, MP concluded it , though he was too late. The organizer of the show Chandan Singh Gusain and me presented the trophy and bouquet to the former CM while Mr. Bhandari also welcomed him with garlands. Hansa Amola and Geeta Bhandari danced to the various Uttarakhandi numbers ( Songs) to the surprise of everybody. The programme was a tremendous success. Prominent amongst those present on the occasion were Pankaj Singh, son of Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Sachidanand Sharma, Sunil Negi, TS Bhandari, Hem Pant, Manoj Chandola, Hansa Amola, Chandan Singh Gusai, Jai Prakash Bisht, lalit Keshwan, Maithaniji, the governor of Calcutta, the mayor of Ghaziabad Telu Ram Kamboj ji and many many other dignitaries.
