Kenya was once again one nation. 1980: Bringing KPU/Luos and Jaromogi back to gov from wilderness. 1981:Passing constitutional amendment to make kenya legally one-party state; far cry from kenyatta de-jure declaration from his thingira which was illegal. 1982:Crushing 82 coup and reforming the military...including reconstituting Airforce a new. 1983: Re-establishing diplomatic and foreign relation with TZ/Nyerere that had gone to dogs in Kenyatta era.Helping Uganda find peace. 1984: Establishing Moi university from scratch..second university after British established UON. 1985:Overhauling British education system to 8-4-4 American systems. 1986: Reigning on Matatu madness by starting Nyayo Bus Service and London taxis...that were to ran on schedule and on the cheap.Establishing Nyayo tea zone to provide buffer around forest and other conservation measures. 1987:Starting Nyayo Motor Corporation that produced five prototypes including Nyayo pioneer with speed of 120km/hr..mass production failed due to lack of funding. 1988: Building kenyas biggest hydro till now (contrary to propaganda is no white elephant)..Turkwel dam (106MW)..which was commissioned in 1991. Turkwell george can produce more power...if more turbines are added...it remain one of kenyas engineering marvels. 1989: Moi burns 12 tons of poached ivory in Nairobi National Park to save Kenyan elephants from poachers after winning Un award for enviroment for Nyayo tea zones and his many effort to conserve forest, prevent erosion in ukambani/baringo, re-forest and plant trees 1990: Moi dumb mlolongo queue voting after hue-and-cry from KANU. 1991: Moi accepts to repeal constitution though opposition had no hope in parliament against KANU machine.Moi ushers multiparty democracy. 1992: Moi conducts and wins 92 election. Saving Kenya from a mad-man Matiba...who comes second. 1993: Moi reigned on Golden-burg and banking mess that had been perpetrated by Saitoti,Magara,Koinage,Bii and Kotut...who are fired and tried in court...Saitoti the sly cat escape..But Moi by-pass him and recommend Uhuru..knowing Saitoti to be a thug he was. Kenyans woule later elect UhuRUto and thank Moi later. 1994: Moi reaches out to Ford-K(Luos/Luhyas) and DP (refused) in bid to re-unite country. Jaramogi dies as cooperation just started. 1995: Moi forms KRA..in addition to a more powerful CBK..and financial supervisory bodies...under MaDVD and Cheserem. 1996: Moi agrees to overhaul constitution....but through committee of experts.Opposition rejects. Moi once agree give opposition sweatheart deal IPPG (Anyona led)...where they appoints ECK commisioners..Kanu appoint 10...opposition 9. 1998:Moi with fair ECK and with more new constituencies conduct free and fair election. Moi goes ahead to beat Kibaki to pulp 1999: Moi agrees to World Bank/IMF/Paris club of donors demand and forms Dream team. The donors had cut Aid 5 times in less than 10yrs. Moi the sly cut had manage to have Aid tap opening and closing by promising without delivering...eventually Donors insisted on their men. 2000: Moi give permission to Leakey to retrench gov staff and do restructuring of civil service and gov.Parallel education is also introduced. 2001: Moi give rv pundit 10 acres in Mau : Moi gives all okiek and few investors 160,000 HA in total ( excised forest) to prevent further incursion and to get Okiek out of forest ; Moi reforms in telecom sectors start bearing fruit with Celtel and Safcom reaching 1m subscribers. 2002:Moi bring in Ghai to led team to collect views on constitution though on principle Moi disagrees. Moi respect the constitution, oversee elections and hand over power. Moi has seen conducted himself with the unmatched grace befitting of the great man from sacho despite makelele and provocation. Moi continues to walk tall as he head into 100yrs. Moi continue to be humble despite being damn rich and having done that. Moi continues to be gracious and religious.
