Yesterday it took 10 minutes on my Facebook group of a few dozen - TopicsExpress

Yesterday it took 10 minutes on my Facebook group of a few dozen people, to raise awareness that a little baby at Kingdom Kids was in need of formula and nappies - shed only had Rooibos Tea, mealie pap and water since Thursday. 10 Minutes. I posted and 10 minutes later three human angels had arranged to buy her formula and nappies, and by 5pm I had all threes donations. At 5:30pm there was Zelna and I traipsing through the muck to find her familys shack and deliver the much needed formula. We only left a tiny bit, enough for one night, so that they are forced to send her to Kingdom Kids in the morning to get more formula, and have Zelna look after this little bundle and make sure she is well cared for at least in the week! Thank you so very very very much to the three human angels - and another one in the meanwhile - who opened their hearts and helped this little helpless person. We can maybe not make a HUGE change in our country but we can make a HUGE change in one childs life. The trick is though not to give and make people dependent but to give to the existing charities who have the know-how and experience to make the difference and not create further dependence. If you would like to be part of this, in whatever way or form, please remember our Chariots for Charity event on the 13 Dec 2014 @ Southeys Vines where you can come drop off any donation (of new or slightly used items, or money!) to go to a range of charities - from little babies or animals, the disabled or frail, school children or the homeless - somewhere someone will need your special something! Dont hold back - lets give responsibly to the charities that can make a difference and not create further dependence!
