Yesterday, late in the morning we received a phone call from CABO!! It was Jordan. He shared with us the story of how quickly the situation had spiralled out of control in Cabo after Odile had done her horrific pass over the region. They had managed to purchase some canned goods as well as fresh water before they headed to our house which was more secure. Our hurricane system was fully deployed making our house the place of choice to ride out this storm. Jordan told me our house sustained no real damage other then we no longer have a palapa over our rooftop bar, and we had some water come in through our back door. Thank you Lord. All of them are safe and sound. The issue now is there continued well being. We did figure out a way to make them a bit more comfortable in the house, and they did manage to buy a bit more canned goods, but the food they have will not last long and even the water they currently have available will come to an end. So there is a sense that they must begin to make plans to return to Canada. The problem is communication is sketchy, one moment they have a signal and the next moment its broken. This makes it hard for them to inform us as to their next move. It also makes it difficult for us to inform them of what we are understanding from this side. An emergency flight leaving San Jose del Cabo today @2:30 PM., as an example. That would be great if they found out about it and managed to get on that flight. So at this point, we wait once again to hear back from our son and daughter, and our precious grand daughters. We know they are in Gods hands. He will provide a way out, soon. We have this confidents. Its a challenging time for them and for all of us, but things will turn around for the good soon. In the short term, for the next 5 days or so, they have the necessities of life. We will do all we can to help them get back to Canada in the next few days. I will post again, as soon as we have made contact again and come to a conclusion as to their next move. NEWS FLASH: We were relieved to hear the military have arrived with aid and security. Cabo is starting to settle down. They have a huge clean up and rebuild ahead of them. Love and blessings to all our family, and friends. Blaire & Katie XOXO
