Yesterday marked the 1 year anniversary of my daughters passing. I put a photo card into my computer to get a picture of the memorial tree that we planted at the ball park that she played at and found this!!! What a sign!! This was a homework assignment that she had, but how a word doc got onto a jpeg card full of pictures is beyond me! You want to talk about a sign! What a day to find it too! I wish that this would have been her obituary! She was 15 when she received her wings! Cassaundra (Cassi) Noel Turner, 100, of Sherrard flew with the Angels on Sunday at Trinity. Services are Monday from 4-7 P.M. at cable community church. The funeral is at 12 p.m. on Tuesday with the burial to follow at Cable cemetery. After the service there will be time to greet the family at a luncheon held at Cable community church. Memorials may be left with the family. Cassi was born on December 23, 1997 in Rock Island, Illinois, daughter of Colleen Turner and Ronald Turner. She got married on April 12, 2022. Cassi graduated high school from Sherrard High school, went on to WIU to become an orthodontist. After she graduated she worked at the Quad city Orthodontics for 30 years, a job she truly loved. She was also a member of the cable community church, Cable. Cassi welcomed anybody into her home, treated all like family. She cooked for all the holidays, making way to much food every time. Cassi also enjoyed everything music, not a day would go by without music playing in her home. She also enjoyed drama she loves to be in plays and or watch plays. Also any type of musicals, which combined both, her most loved thing to do. She also directed musicals, plays, and choirs. She loved seeing the smiles across young ones faces. They would light up on show night, her most nervous night. The students would always laugh about how stressed out she would get. Mostly all the children’s favorite part the party where they got unlimited snacks and games, they had a blast. She directed a total of 30-35 plays. She was loved by all friends and family and will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Cassi survived by her husband and children. She was proceeded in Death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory, Her children Hope and Faith, her four sisters, Jessica (Chris) Maess (Moline), Courtney (Bill) Barnes (Orlando), and Hailey Turner (Kansas). Her niece Sophia and her nephews Connor and Jayden. We say a special thanks to friends and family and all those who have helped out in her life.
