Yesterday marked two major milestones. First, was may 22 year as a paramedic for Greenville County EMS. Though I have had ups and downs like most of you I am truly blessed to be able to touch the lives of my patients and their familys as I try to do the best for them that I can. I have never lost sight why I am there. I am looking forward to what the next few years hold for me! As most of you know I have been diligently preparing for my CPNE which stands for Clinical Performance in Nursing Examination. All that means is it is my FINIAL exam for the Excelsior bridge program for paramedic to RN. In order to be successful you must achieve a score of 100%. WELL, to put it bluntly it just was not my time! It doesnt matter if I dont succeed in something, what matters is that I learn from my mistakes. - Linda Evans I can truly say that my test site gave me every opportunity to succeed, and at times went above and beyond. I felt them rooting for me to pass! I have purposefully stayed away from the word failure in how I feel so this is the only time I will use it. My failure was mine alone and I left owning it, learning from it and staying humble by the experience. I absolutely have nothing to be ashamed of and am better for the experience. In the end it will ultimate make me a better Registered Nurse! As a finial note, THANK YOU for all the support and kind words from some close friends. You are my ROCK!. Tabatha Dowless Darby, Sherrie Carrell Carter and Keith Wyatt THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!. Also a special thanks to Sheri Taylor Jenkins and Greg Edwards of Sheri Taylors Clinical Workshop yall rock it! Till the next time that I meet the BEAST...
