Yesterday morning, we left the impressive Island of South Georgia behind us. Making 13 visits (small boat landings) in bays and on small Islands made our stay looking a lot longer then the week we spend here. We met the fur-seals, sea-elephants, king, gentoo and macaroni-penguins, the wandering albatrosses and many other ocean birds on their breeding Islands and of course we met the friendly staff from the station in Grytviken. The magnificent views on glaciers and mountains of nearly 3000 meter high. All these things made our visit to this Southern sub-Antarctic Island a great success again. See you next year! Now are jibboom is pointing North and we are looking for warmer waters. We have to catch-up with the Sun which is already nearing the Equator in her declination and we do not wish to miss the Northern summer. Tristan da Cunha, here we come! only 1433 Sea Miles to go....
