Yesterday my Mom and Dad celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. Ive known my whole life that Im blessed w/ great parents, but considering how marriage is being redefined, down graded, and considered old fashion in society today, Im thankful my parents didnt call it quits when times got hard (and times got hard), or when money got tight (and money got tight), or when their love waned (and every couples love waxes and wanes). When their love for each other was worn thin, their love for God and their covenant with God keep them together. Thanks Mom & Dad for displaying the Gospel w/ your marriage. Two imperfect people striving to obey Ephesians 5:22-33 w/ my Dad representing Christ and my Mom representing the church. Youve set the bar, the tone, and the standard for Matthew Thomas and I along w/ a number of our friends you voluntarily raised as well. I love you Martha Howerton Thomas and Jimmy Thomas!
