Yesterday my friend Bill Daniel Johnson pointed out via text that Ive been too quiet on here lately. Hes right. I have been so focused on listening lately, (turning down everything around me and turning up what is inside me) that I have failed to share what Im hearing along the way. Must catch you all up. Yesterday I caught very clearly that I need only be watering the areas of my life that are growing and producing. Stay outta the weeds. Not everything deserves water or roots. Today as life seemed just as gusty and pushy as the East winds I heard a call for calm within. A quiet reminder that the struggle is where the story lives. Ive also had a a few surges of anger lately directed at various headlines and missed connections and human stuff. If you can believe it...a reality show (that will remain unmentioned) gave me this wad of grace to chew on: Anger is disappointed love. Less weeds. Less wiggling. More telling those you love that you do.
