Yesterday, my son and I visited the Charles H. Wright - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, my son and I visited the Charles H. Wright African-American Museum. While looking at bones of ancient human beings, I introduced certain key words to my son to build up his vocabulary. The words were; Anthropology, Archaeology and Artifacts. I told him the definitions of these words in relation to the exhibits that we seen such as bones of ancient human beings, old curling irons etc. In going through the museum, the slave ship deck where the slaves are chained up always takes me by storm. Each year, the museum expands with more exhibits, arts and historic information. My son and I were taking about the shape of the triangle which also represents the shape of social hierarhy in African societies. Also, an elder from the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority educated us about the organization. Their sisterhood helped tried to improve our race of people. I always enjoy learning about my history and we will continue to learn more things about our past that we were never exposed to.
