Yesterday something really strange happened that made me realize I need to slow down and enjoy this season. Here lately I been needing to be at jobs that I couldnt make it when I wanted to be there. My schedule wasnt a reality. Im blessed to be busy, dont get me wrong, but Ive tossed and turned for weeks now wondering how to get everything done. Thats just the nature of the beast being self employeed. Yesterday I went to my mother in laws christmas breakfast and had to leave early to go pick up some flooring from the Amish for our house. The whole way there I was thinking how ridiculous it was to have to work on Christmas Eve. At this point it just didnt seem like Christmas time. When I arrived and got out of the truck several of the employees met me with a handshake and a hug with a big smile and said merry Christmas! Over the next two hours I watched them run wood through their saw mill and we talked about the meaning of Christmas and how so many people have gotten away from the true meaning of the season. As strange as it sounds these guys put a calm over me words cant explain. Sometimes it takes the unexpected to make you realize what is really important in life! I felt they were filming some type of hallmark movie while I was there! Lol As I got in the truck I couldnt believe how things had changed over the last two hours! The only explanation for everything that had taken place at this old sawmill was angels on earth! To top it all off I look in the passengers seat and see fresh baked bread and desserts they had slipped in the truck. What a great Christmas Eve !
