Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed the Victims of Child Abuse Act (VOCAA) Reauthorization Act. The bill previously passed in the Senate and the IACP supported bill will be sent to the President for signature. VOCAA appropriations will be used to support Children’s Advocacy Centers that will help ensure that child victims of violent crimes get the services they need and that law enforcement are able to better protect children and hold perpetrators accountable.
