Yesterday the govt. announced an unexpected drop in the number of NEW jobless claims. Somewhere around 300,000. Think about that! ONLY 300,000 more people lost jobs last week!!! One week - and we are supposed to be happy? I did a little research on the numbers posted by the Board of Labor Statistics (not a right-wing organization) and this is what I found for the month of Feb. Long term unemp. 3.8 million, short term unemp. 10.5 million, marginally attached to work force 2.3 million, and part-time employed 7.2 million. Well, I dont know about you but I find it hard to celebrate anything about these numbers.Are things really so bad that we have to call terrible good? Wake up people, Washington is not your friend or they would be finding ways to solve these problems, not just looking for ways. The fact is, after five years things have only gotten worse. It is time for a whole lot of politicians to go home! If you vote to keep the same old Republicans and or Democrats in office again you have no one to blame but yourself. Time for a real change.
