Yesterday there was news about an Indian youngster shot dead. Apparently it was revealed that this youngster belongs to a secret group. It also revealed that the same youngster was active in MIC activities and involved very actively with a project orchestrated by a prominent leader in MIC. More shocking is the same prominent leader expressing his condolence to the youngster’s family and there were photos of the prominent leader and the youngster together were circulating around. There is nothing wrong with the condolence message. But the photos which were circulating around prompted me to ask whether MIC is getting back to its ‘previous’ era again? Whether we like it or not the gangsterism culture in MIC was mushroomed during 90s. DS Samy could have good intention to include them in MIC as a way of “correcting” the “uncorrectable errors” in our Indian community. But eventually the gangsterism culture finds it way to damage the image of MIC. I had a hope that the “uncorrectable error” in MIC could be corrected with a new batch of young leaders in MIC. But it seems like the “uncorrectables” are getting their root much stronger now in MIC due to few political opportunities using them for their political agenda. The “uncorrectables” are very smart now days. Like the politicians, the “uncorrectables” are also having their “own agenda” being in MIC and being associated with prominent figures in MIC. To be more accurate the “ uncorrectables” are “legalizing” their illegal activities by associating themselves with MIC and its leaders. This must be STOPED immediately!!! The police know the thieves better. Now days police must think and act like a thieve to apprehend a thieve. Therefore, the prominent figure in MIC must use his abilities to “check and balance” such “uncorrectables’ activities” in MIC. I am confident that with his “past experience” he could identify this “uncorrectables” in MIC easily . He has all the facilities and network to check on them. I never suggest that we could not open our MIC door to this “uncorrectables”. At the same time, we must monitor their “activities” to ensure it didn’t further damage MIC’s reputation. It is not very difficult to monitor this uncorrectables’ activities. With the link the prominent leader has with the police, he only needs to provide the name and IC number of such “uncorrectables” in MIC. The rest will be carried out by police accordingly. That will keep those in-charges in MIC to draw a plan to “safeguard” the reputation of MIC and its future in Malaysian politics. I know this prominent leader is trying to do his level best to prove himself as a capable leader to lead MIC in near future. So it is advisable to put some serious attention on this “uncorrectables” in MIC together with his current project. Last but not least I must emphasis here that I am not here to damage anyone’s hard earned reputation but this is my concern towards betterment of the party and our community as a whole.
