Yesterday was National Dress Your Dog Day. Since Bandit needed - TopicsExpress

Yesterday was National Dress Your Dog Day. Since Bandit needed dog food, I decided there was no day like the present to recreate the night I WalMarted him. So, I dressed The BaldOne Boy in his PJs, grabbed his robe, and we headed to PetCo--the doggie equilivent of WalMart. In route, from Belton to Temple, we saw four EMS trucks responding to three different calls. Yikes! Thats a lot of activity. In addition to all the EMS activity, Cops at every level--local through state, were visible. Luckily, I was legal (in my speed as well as tags and inspection sticker). Thank you Jerome and the guys in the Johnson Brothers Service Department--Im glad you were able to squeeze me in late after work last week! Once safely in the PetCo parking lot, I deleted 64 photos off my iPhone to make storage room for a couple of photos of the WalMarted Boy. I also took one of my cameras in--just in case. It was kind of warm so I left Bandits robe in the SUV. Most WalMart folks wear their PJs sans the robe anyway,so it would still be a cute photo. As usual, Bandit really didnt want his photo taken, but he did eventually do a fairly good sit except his ears werent perky like I like them to be for photos. As luck would have it, 64 deleted photos is NOT enough storage to take even one new photo. It was a good thing I took my pocket camera as well--I just cant download the photos to my MAC OR PC--Ive misplaced my cables. Ugh. So, in the store, we walked to the cash register--me laden with dog food and bummed I didnt have a photo for FB--he dragging me to meet every dog and person in the store--because he has SOMEHOW developed the notion that he is DUE the adoration of EVRYONE and EVERYTHING with which he comes into contact. Im at a loss as to when and where he developed this attitude. As we walked to the register, I saw a three level Cat Perch standing empty. Begging for a cat. and I got the bright idea to put him on the highest perch and I snapped another photo that I cant download. But I think its kind of cute--an ill at ease Bandit, WalMarted out, standing stiffly on the highest level of a CAT perch. I think he was rather pleased when he got all four paws back on the floor. I dont think he was all that pleased with me and this highrise photo op--even when I told him he should thank me for forgetting to take a curler for his hair. Now THAT would have been a photo. On my way back to Belton, I drove I-35--the shorter back way in to Belton--and where I met the suicidal deer about 3 years ago--and at dusk a few weeks ago, I almost met her equally suicidal twin. I still havent bought a deer wistle for the SUV, so Im reduced to honking every couple of seconds to alert the Bambies of my approach. I couldnt do that tonight because the Cedar Fever has given me a whopping headache. I temembered earlier this week I heard about a new lottery hame called All or Nothing. Im a pro at picking non-winning numbers so I figure Im destined to win. So I bought a ticket. Because I drove I-35, it meant I came down Main Street and passed my church. Imagine my suprize when I looked up and saw my SUV, in my favorite parking spot--even though I knew we didnt have Choir Rehearsal tonight...let alone, that I was DRIVING my SUV at the time of the sighting. Sadly, I actually looked twice before I realized I wasnt parked there...and I wondered why it was such a strange night...until I looked up and saw the full moon--its the night of Lunar and gravitational pulls, Crazies, Births, Warewolves, and Good Hair. Speaking of hair, its time to go wash mine--cant be letting The Boy have better hair than me!
