Yesterday was a BIG day at our house! My daughter Adley has battled epilepsy (Infantile Spasms) since she was 2 months old. Shes had countless tests, been on multiple medicines, many hospital stays, traveling out of state, and finally a little over a year ago brain surgery (also out of state). Since her surgery shes been doing really well, but still on 2 medicines which are given to her every morning and night. One of them shes been on for nearly 3 years! We tried getting off of it twice, each with a relapse of seizures (once prior to surgery, once after). So we tried again doing a VERY slow ween and as of yesterday we are DONE with it! Only 1 medicine to deal with now :) Shes been showing so many mental gains since starting the wean, I cant wait to see the many more to come! Yesterday was also my babys one month birthday! She is getting so big! We are so happy to have her in our family, we love her so much!! But wish she would stop growing ;)
