Yesterday was a magnificent day in the valley! High 60’s, NO wind, bright blue sky. For those who went home early or can’t be here – you’re missing the best! Of course I am writing this late Thursday night for an early a.m. post and the weather forecast is a bit gloomy for Friday: low 50’s and 30% chance of rain. That’s why we really, really enjoy the great days while we can – as evidenced by the photos posted today taken at a Cuchara “Dog Day” picnic on the road to Trinchera Peak. Guitar strumming, dogs playing, stream gurgling, warm sun on backs, good conversation with friends, great food, beverage of choice. Could it get any better than this? Looks like a great time was had by all, including the dogs! But now --- weekend’s a’comin’ in Cuchara Village! Merchants’ sales on the Boardwalk Saturday from 10 to 3. And then there’s music -- From Karen Sandbeck at the Dog Bar: Weve still got live music scheduled through the month of September. This Saturday night, well host one of our favorite country bands, Cappton Reid! Check out their FB page and like them so they will know how much Cuchara loves their music. Well start about 9 pm, and believe me, they dont take a break!!! The mountains are gorgeous this time of year, so come on up and see us and enjoy some awesome music! From Scott Mangold at the Timbers: What do you get when you take away one of the Blue Collar Slackers? You get Hoot and Rueger! They will be performing this weekend in the Tavern. Come out to eat then stay past 9, and listen to them perform.
