Yesterday was an excellent service at Sweet Union Baptist as usual. We had a marvelous Sunday School discussion about Love. God is all about Love so we need to put our differences to the side and Love one another. Our choir lifted their spectacular voice to the Lord and the praises dancers broke every chain!! Pastor Sylvia Ball ofcourse once again gave a dynamite sermon to us on Holding On To Your Christian Convictions! We can relate as christians that the walk is not easy. We all want to just quit sometimes. 1 Corinthians 15:38(Anchor Scriptures). Paul wrote this letter to the church to encourage them. We need not give up because there is a bigger picture. A controlling thought was Living A Hope Filled Life! Its one thing to believe what you know but do you know what you believe? As christians we dont only believe that Jesus Christ died for us but we believe in the Resurrection of Christ on the 3rd day. So my beloved brethren be ye steadfast! It did not end for Jesus on the cross. If it did there would be no need for a ministry. It would just be some sort of religious exercise for us if Jesus didnt get up. We believe that Jesus raised from the dead!! We going to have some problems in this life, we will be weary at times but Hold On To Your Christian Convictions! There is no need for us to debate with anyone because Jesus Christ is real He is not a fairytale!! He was buried the scriptures tell us and on Sunday the tomb was empty. Mary seen Him, doubting Thomas seen him etc. we havent seen Him physically but we seen Him in our life, in our homes, in the court room and the sick room, so hold on!! 2 Thessalonians 2:15 so then brothers and sisters.. Walk In Confidence! Those who live the hopeful life walk confidently!! Dont be shaken, stay unmovable, rooted and grounded in the Word Of God! Stand strong on what you believe in and let nothing or no one deter you away!! We make mistakes but you cant stay feeling like a failure. 1 Corinthians 15:32 And if there is no resurrection.. Hold On To Your Convictions because its your beliefs, behaviors always follow beliefs!! 1 Peter 2:4 You also like living stones are being built.. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit!! Jesus is building His church with us. Life is short but we have eternity ahead, eternity doesnt end with God. If Jesus was coming back in 2 minutes what would you do to get ready, you should be ready already for Him! As christians we speak and show Love, we dont stop, we dont quit, we dont give up! We live the hope filled life holding on to our convictions, walk in confidence. Serve With Ethusiasm! 1 Corinthians 15:58 Be always abounding in the work of the Lord. You going to get physically tired but dont get spiritually tired. When the bomb drop just hold on with everything you have until the dust settles!! Jesus is coming back so dont worry, every eye shall see Him and every tongue shall confess that He is Lord!! Every believer have a gift so if you have a gift then you have work to do for God. Dont lose hope, keep on keeping on, let adversity strengthen you. Dont let people stop you from what you doing because we on a mission for the Lord!! God stretches us!!!! Some of us is discouraged sitting down on the gift God gave us, we havent been serving god like we suppose to but you should be if you are focused on eternity, nobody should be able to stop you when you are focused. Put your mind on things above and work towards the goal which is Heaven!! Galatians 6:9 Let us not.. 1 Corinthians 15:51 But let me reveal.. We will be transformed, we will never die!! The Holy Spirit is saying to us Get To Work! Nothing that we do for God will ever be lost! What you do for the Lord shall last! James 1:12 Blessed is the man who.. We are precious stone being polished! It gets hard but a change is going to come so be steadfast and look for Christ return, Hold On To Your Christian Convictions!! We are going to Glory with Christ forever!! I must say Pastor Sylvia Ball in my slang term She went In on That yall**
