Yesterday was five weeks from the surgery. Next Monday will be six weeks and chemo will start early next week. We saw a primary care doc yesterday for flu and pneumonia shots. He also read the results to the PET Scan. At this time, all solid organs, all lymph nodes and the rest of the body is cancer free. The PET Scan did show some isolated cancer in and around my colon. That is expected. We go to St Louis on November 4th to meet with the surgeon who will schedule the date for the follow up surgery to clean that up and wash it out with heated chemo. Thanks to my neice, Amber, this fight has developed a new name. God is Greater! In anything and everything that happens, life, death, healing....God is Greater. She says that after every correspondence and we love it. After hearing we are going to deal with stage 4 cancer, God is Greater. After we got the PET Scan results, God is Greater. So as we sign off from now on, that is what you will see. Cavin left for Okinawa, Japan this morning with hopes of coming home stateside for the remainder of his time in the Marines. Ellen, Brayden and Chase are staying at our house until he is able to come stateside. Please remember him in prayer as it will be hard on him being in Japan as Chris goes through chemo and surgery. Thank you to our family that has stuck by our side through this. Also, thank you to all of our friends. Your prayers are so important and your continued support of us is so appreciated. God is Greater.
