Yesterday was great you started at the trail between Ridge Trail and Fayson Lakes Road. Then to the trail by the little store, after you stopped and had a cup of hot chocolate, and Mrs. Chandler checked you over to make sure you werent to wet or cold. Then to the Benner s yard, the lake wasnt frozen yet so you had to make a hard turn at the bottom. What a day!! You went to bed silently asking Santa for an early Christmas present. Another snow day. But your Mom wakes you up at the regular time and you go look out the window, the roads are clear no chance of a snow day today. Then you realize its Thursday and this is the day your brother always calls and tonight you will find out if he can get leave to come home. His training is almost over and then he will be shipping out to no one knows. You go through your morning routine and finally you can get the calendar, while you were getting ready you and your mom were talking about your brother being home for Christmas and how great that would be. Then you crack open todays window and you get this blast from the past. You look to your mom all set to say something about your brother coming home and you see a single tear coming down her cheek.
