Yesterday was one of the hardest and strangest days ever at Emashi. Dorinia Harley and I felt pure pain. The first thing I learned when I got to rehearsal yesterday is about the 14 year old young man who committed suicide. From being in the heart of his family, where he appeared to be ok, he suddenly decided life was not worth living and broke the heart of his family by taking his life. This happened few days ago. Totally unrelated was a little toddler who always comes to Emashi with her grandmother. For some unknown reason this little girl cried like her heart was breaking. I am a mother of four children and a community mother to 4000 + children. I have seen and heard much crying. This was something else. Dorinia and I looked at each other and felt saddened as the little girl tried to smile. Her smile kept becoming a frown and it was awful to see. THE SOUL WAS CRYING. It was beyond us.
