Yesterday was such a good day. It wasnt till this morning that I got a chance to process everything that happened last night. So last night we held our fatherhood/motherhood program in Stockton. And few fathers from Sacramento came with me to show support to the families. Which I thought was pretty awesome of them. So, Im facilitating the class like normal and then it hits me. I look around and I start to feel the good energy in the room. Peoples attitudes start changing and laughter fills the room. And I start to feel the power of healing. I know this because these families expressed themselves in that way! As we closed with prayer the families from Stockton thanked the bros from Sacramento for coming and showing their support for their group. I made feel so good to hear that. It was a truly proud moment for me that this message of happy and safe families is becoming real. It was great to have so many men there last night supporting not only their wives other women in the group. There was no division or politics. There were no mean words spoke. There was just positive energy! Our message last night was kindness. Being GOOD to yourself which is hard to do when the chips are stacked against you but is possible with faith. Indian people are resilient and can endure so much that our ancestors would be proud of us with the fight we are giving these barriers life has given us. Life is to short to waste. Whatever your going through there is a way out. Believe in yourself and continue the fight. We come from greatness and Creator has blessed us all with life! Dont waste it!!!!!
